1. The Origin: High-Grade Limestone
It all starts in the limestone quarries in Ha Nam - Vietnam, where we extract premium-grade raw stone with high CaCO₃ content. This natural resource is the foundation of quality hydrated lime production, ensuring consistency in every batch.
2. Calcination: Turning Stone into Quicklime
Secondly, the extracted limestone is transported to our lime kiln facility, where it is heated at temperatures above 900°C. This process, called calcination, drives off carbon dioxide and converts CaCO₃ into Quicklime (CaO).
This stage requires precise temperature control to avoid over- or under-burning, which affects the final purity.
3. Hydration: The Science of Slaking
Next comes the transformation — Quicklime is introduced to a controlled amount of water in a high-efficiency slaker. The reaction is immediate and exothermic, resulting in Calcium Hydroxide – Ca(OH)₂, also known as Hydrated Lime.
To optimize this process, we use Quicklime lump size 2–4 cm, which is ideal for industrial hydration:
- Ensures complete and even reaction
- Faster slaking
- Reduces unreacted CaO residue
The result? A fine white powder with purity up to 96%, low impurities, and consistent performance.
