Nutrition Facts Feed For Chickens

In the meals of broiler chickens, it is necessary to use rational foods to ensure proper nutrition.

Nutritional needs of chickens

Nutritional needs of chickens are raw foods (rice, corn, millet ...) with high in fiber.

It is divided into stages:

Stage chicks 1 to 14 days old, crude protein accounted for 22%, exchanged energy 3,000 Kcal / kg.

Stage chicks 21 to 56 days old, crude protein accounted for 22%, exchanged energy ensures 3,100 Kcal / kg.

Feed chickens with the required amount of feed to ensure the fastest growth, frequently food intake is about 5 - 10% of body weight. In the meal, the amount of energy feed for chickens is about 70%, protein food does not exceed 30%. In addition, need to add minerals, vitamins ... in the meal daily.

Nutritional components of feeds

Energy feeds

Also called carbohydrate feeds, including grains and their by-products such as rice, maize, sorghum, bran. This meal contains less than 20% protein, an average of 12% and a crude fiber content of less than 18%. 75 - 80% of the protein content of this food group is not high quality because of lack of lysine, methionine and triptophan. Average fat content is 2 - 5%. This type of feed is rich in phosphorus, but poor in calcium, with about 95%.

Protein feeds

Vegetable Protein: Including legumes and oilseeds: Soybean, green beans, peanuts, soybean oil, peanut oil. This feed is rich in protein and amino acids can not a substitute.

Animal Protein: Including animal products: Fish meal, shrimp meal, meat meal ... This is a source of protein, insubstituted amino acids, minerals and many vitamins.

Vitamin supplements

The addition of vitamins and food mixes is used in the form of vitamin premix and a homogeneous mixture of vitamins A, D, E, K, B1, B2, B12, PP antibiotics and antioxidants.

Mineral supplements

Tracemineral: Some micronutrients are usually added to foods such as manganese sulphate, manganese carbonate supplemented with manganese for waterfowl.

Macrominerals: Some of the minerals are used to supplement waterfowl species such as calcium carbonate (limestone), shellfish, eggshell, bone meal, sodium, potassium and many other macronutrients.
