Quicklime
Quicklime, a monoxide of calcium (CaO), is often referred to as burnt lime. It is a white, caustic, alkaline, crystalline solid and manufactured from limestone, which is extracted from quarries and mines. Limestone is usually crushed and fed into lime kilns, where it is burnt at high temperatures and broken down into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide.
Quicklime has a wide range of uses including in the production of iron and steel, paper and pulp, sugar refining, treatment of water, wastewater and flue gases, construction (soil stabilization), agriculture, mining industry, chemical industry,…
SHC Group Vietnam supplies a wide range of Quicklime products with lots of advantages:
- By the grinding and screening process, our Quicklime is generated with different sizes from lumps, granular products to highly reactive micronized lime to satisfy customers’ particular requirements.
- Our high-calcium quicklime that is highly reactive and has an exceptionally high particle surface area provides superior chemical performance for acid-neutralization, pH stabilization, flue gas desulphurization, SO2-absorption, or other industrial-alkali applications,…
- Throughout the process, quality control measures and precise instrumentation are utilized to ensure the quicklime produced is a consistent, high-quality product
